pot of tea
i miss stephen. i know, i’m pathetic. since i’ve been home, for two years now, this is the very first time that i’ve went a day without seeing him. it’s really weird. and pathetic. i’ve had some wonderful friends of mine over for the past two nights, we’ve been having a Harry Potter marathon, that’s turned into a Twilight reading/discussion & movie...
His own heartbeat.
But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.
Second Corinthians 2:14,15
mmm, isn’t that great? geeze, God is good. NOT only does He bless us exceedingly by leading us “in triumphal...
first things first: Erin Andersen… you have to be the cutest little friend i have ever had. i was talking about you the the other day with Stephen and he was like, “oh! the one whose like a little teddy bear?” haha and i like like yeah, that’s Erin!! We were talking about how nice it is to have a friend who is your friend no matter how many miles are between you. although i never get to see you, i...
constant comfort.
What do you do when all your hopes get flushed down the toilet? hmm, no that doesn’t explain my despair. let’s say you are lost; you have no direction. no peace from God. you are stuck in the middle of a swinging unstable scary bridge…. in the jungles of Africa. grrreat. what do you do? well, i just waited..and i waited and waited some more for an answer. took a while… but God kept reminding me,...
city.
i really like cold wheather. i wish it was colder here. my friend Erin told me it’s a snow blizzard at her house in Michigan. mmm, a snow blizzard is something that has sadly never happened here in North Carolina. hmm, another reason for moving to Seattle or China for that matter :-)
“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp...
judgment.
it hurts when someone judges you without knowing who you are. it hurts even more when someone judges you when they actually do know you. it doesn’t make much sense. in that single moment of your judgmental conclusion you have summed that person up as if you were God. you have, of course studied their heart carefully (as if you could.) and have found what their reactions were and the thoughts...

Christmas break is a little too good to be true. i love all this free time. don’t get me wrong, I am a dork, i do love school. and that’s a good thing, i have a lot of school ahead of me. but Christmas break so far really has been lovely. i thought it might be boring, but it hasn’t! i’ve got to hang out with friends, my love and i’ve had so much time for a great book...
sold.
I sold a painting today. geeze it really feels great! this painting was the first one I posted on Etsy. I love it and really couldn’t understand why it hadn’t sold. i had two buyers for it at one point, but they both fell through. however, finally its time for my little tree to shine proudly in someone’s livingroom. it’s full of goodness and love, yay!
i have so many...
I would really love to go to Seattle. I hear it rains there a lot.
Do not fear...
(1) Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. (2) Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who are fearful-hearted, “Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God; He will come and save you.”...
almost done.
Today, some lady randomly told Stephen that he looked like “Edward Cullen” in the movie Twilight… bahaha! yes, i know my boyfriend is very cute…however she was wrong. he’s wayyyy cuter than “Edward Cullen” :-)
i recently had a discussion with my granpa about a woman’s role. he believes that a woman’s role includes women preaching— he is...
it's late.
i know, it’s late. what in the world am i doing up at this ungodly hour? i can’t sleep. whenever i feel the pressure of life caving in on me, i can’t sleep to save my life. which is really a shame because i’m going to have the worse looking eyes ever tomorrow! it’s the end of the semester and i always get really tense and scared of the outcome of my classes. if i...
bunny slippers.
I bought some cute bunny slippers today!
Went Christmas shopping today and it was a lot of fun. I have completely given up on the art of wrapping presents. Stephen is the master wrapper- he is soo good at it! me? well, mine always looks like a ball of pretty paper. -I went into Hot Topic to get a new nose ring (ring & stud) and it was soo CREEPY! I’ve never been in there by myself...
for the love of good books.
geeze the Twilight series is SO good. I have three favorite novel(s) now. The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and now Twilight. Breaking Dawn proved to be better than I imagined it to be. I am so happy that Stephanie Meyer has excellent taste for ending a good series. I was doubting her for awhile; I had no idea what to expect.
*sigh* what will I do with myself now? suppose I will just have to...
rain.
i love it when it rains.
Stephen took me to sixth & vine tonight for dinner… it was soo nice to be out with him! then we went to the top of the parking deck across from the Nissen building and took pictures of the city lights. and then it got cold and rained. no problem, it’s nice to be in the rain with him :-)
driving home tonight i found the MOST excited news in the history...
Book Review.
Twilight.
Okay, so I’ve been reading the Twilight series- which let me first state, I do not regret reading these books. Twilight & Midnight Sun is by far the best… perhaps I lean toward these two books because they are pure romantic and a beautiful story of Edward and Bella. *sigh* However, the rest of the books, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn are equally as good, you just have to...
Midnight Sun.
This book never made it into the publishers hands. Sadly enough someone stole Meyer’s rough draft, so the book isn’t even finished. It’s Twilight, written from Edward’s perspective and it’s excellent. It’s great to see Twilight threw Edward’s perspective so you can finally understand some of his actions and know what he was thinking. I really do appreciate...
New Moon.
New Moon was good, to a point, actually not until the very end of the book. I won’t say anything further about New Moon, except… do not put the book down or skip pages… just keep reading. It’s worth it in the end :-)
Eclipse.
Eclipse was a great book, more so than I thought it would be. I really enjoyed reading it *cough* within one day. The beginning was a breath of fresh air compared to the disturbing sadness in the second book. I was relieved to find that Edward & Bella were… well, I guess you will need to read the book to find out :-)
Breaking Dawn.
Breaking Dawn I am currently reading and although I cannot say how I feel about the whole book, I can say that the first eleven chapters are excellent. Without purposefully giving anything away I really do appreciate that Meyer’s writing reflects an old fashioned, as Jane Austin would say, “a more gentleman-like manner.” Edward & Bella are married before they are physically...
